You'll be the named lead on managed supply chain assurance engagements. That means you own the relationship, you own the quality of every output, and you're the person who decides whether a supplier's evidence actually stands up. This is analytical judgement about what would happen if a supplier failed, not chasing questionnaire responses.

What you'll actually do:

  • Lead assessments across Critical, High and Medium tier vendors, covering security controls, operational resilience, data protection, exit readiness and concentration risk.
  • Run design and operating effectiveness testing on Critical and High tier suppliers, forming and defending a conclusion on whether controls work as intended.
  • Produce management information, and present findings to board-level stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier engagement on the client's behalf, pursuing evidence gaps and escalating unresponsive or high-risk suppliers.
  • Develop the firm's assessment methodology and playbooks from what you learn on live programmes.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in third party risk, supply chain resilience or outsourcing assurance within a regulated environment (FS CNI), a consultancy or a managed service provider.
  • Evidence-led control assessment experience, including design and operating effectiveness testing or internal audit methodology applied to third party risk.
  • Working knowledge of operational resilience expectations, UK GDPR as it applies to processors and sub-processors, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
  • Assessment experience across the full supplier risk profile: security, data protection, business continuity, exit planning, concentration risk and fourth party risk.
  • Experience as the primary contact on a senior client or stakeholder relationship, including honest conversations when the findings are uncomfortable.
  • Comfortable spotting and progressing commercial opportunities within an account, or flagging to our sales lead.
  • Nice - CRISC, CISM or CISA, or actively working towards one.

What's in it for you:

A boutique with no layers to hide behind. You set the standard, you shape the methodology, and you get direct board-level exposure rather than filtered access through three levels of management. If you need any adjustments during the application process, tell us and we'll make them.
