I'm supporting a growing global consultancy that is looking to hire a European/International Resilience Lead to establish and scale its European enterprise resilience practice, extending a proven US-based capability into Europe, the UK, and beyond. This is a build role, reporting directly to the Global Resilience Lead.

You would take established methodologies and delivery assets and adapt them to European market needs, regulatory expectations, and cross-border operating environments, while growing a portfolio of clients and directly shaping and delivering the work.

The role

  • Grow a portfolio of European clients by marketing, shaping, and delivering resilience services across the region.
  • Deliver enterprise resilience transformation programmes, helping clients implement resilient operating models, secure recovery architectures, and operational resilience capabilities.
  • Align client capabilities to European regulatory expectations, including DORA, NIS2, the CER Directive, ISO 22301, and sector-specific supervisory guidance.
  • Build client relationships, lead proposals and executive presentations, and act as a trusted advisor across the practice's core resilience themes: readiness and governance, hardening technical environments, and building recovery capabilities to restore critical services.
  • Assess resilience programmes, identify capability gaps, and develop practical improvement roadmaps covering infrastructure hardening, alignment to NIST CSF categories, recovery and continuity strategy, response testing, and programme governance.

What they are looking for

  • 8+ years leading or advising on enterprise technology, resilience, cybersecurity, infrastructure, disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, or crisis management for large, complex European or global organisations.
  • Experience advising executive stakeholders and leading senior-level consulting or delivery engagements across business, technology, cybersecurity, risk, and operations teams.
  • Hands-on experience implementing enterprise resilience, cyber recovery, disaster recovery, business continuity, or operational resilience capabilities across large-scale hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • The ability to translate technical detail for technical and non-technical stakeholders, showing how cybersecurity, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, incident response, infrastructure, networking, cloud, and third-party risk work together to protect revenue, reduce single points of failure, and sustain essential operations.
  • A consulting or corporate advisory background, whether with a top-tier consulting firm, a specialist cybersecurity or resilience consultancy, a systems integrator, or an internal enterprise resilience function.
  • Working knowledge of European and UK regulatory expectations for operational and digital operational resilience, including DORA, NIS2, the CER Directive, ISO 22301, and EBA ICT Guidelines, with the ability to translate regulatory drivers into practical client actions.
  • Experience supporting market development through proposals, executive briefings, business cases, roadmaps, and client-ready presentations.

Nice to have:

  • Expertise advising on infrastructure, application, backup, replication, and recovery architectures across on-premises, hybrid, cloud, and virtualised environments.
  • Experience maturing traditional business continuity programmes into operational resilience capabilities.
  • Experience designing Secure Isolated Recovery Environment (SIRE) and Live-Fire Exercise solutions supporting Tier 0 infrastructure availability.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301, or ITIL.

Package

  • Salary: £150,000 - £170,000
  • Benefits: Bonus / Training budget
  • Travel: up to 25% for client visits across the UK and Netherlands

This would suit someone who wants to build something from the ground up, enjoys being client-facing and acting as a trusted advisor, and can move comfortably between strategy, solution shaping, and hands-on delivery.
