A growing Security Consultancy is looking for an experienced SOC Lead to own and evolve security operations. This role leads day-to-day cyber defence while providing strategic oversight across cloud, SaaS and hybrid infrastructure in a regulated, high-availability setting.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and mature Security Operations, including SOC services, threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management.
- Act as senior incident commander for high-severity cyber incidents, coordinating technical teams, executives and third parties.
- Own security operations across Google, AWS and key SaaS platforms, driving improved visibility and reduced risk.
- Embed security-by-design across new services, initiatives and emerging technologies.
- Translate cyber risk into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
- Support audits and regulatory requirements (e.g. PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials Plus) and drive remediation.
- Oversee third-party and managed security service providers.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing cyber operations team.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience leading Cyber Security Operations in a complex or regulated environment.
- Strong background in SOC operations, incident response, threat detection and vulnerability management.
- Deep understanding of cloud and modern workplace security, particularly Google and AWS.
- Experience working with managed service providers and hybrid operating models.
- Ability to communicate cyber risk clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
