This is an opportunity to join a forward thinking company with a strong charitable nature, as a Governance Officer, supporting the company secretary.

Providing guidance to secretarial services and governance groups, to help ensure a solid approach to corporate governance, to comply with organisational, legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities of a Governance Officer:

  • Ensure the provision of an independent and excellent administrative service to support the board and committee’s – providing solutions for planning, preparation of agendas, board packs, and providing advice to non-exec members of the board.
  • Support the company secretary in company administration – responsible for statutory and regulatory filings/maintenance of company records.
  • Support in governance compliance reviews.
  • Lead on development of policies and procedures within the governance team, helping to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

Requirements of a Governance Officer:

  • Strong administrative skills within a company secretary environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including minute taking and materials.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
