Role Overview
As a Line Technician in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of production efficiency, quality, and safety.
This position requires strong technical expertise combined with key competencies such as attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
You will work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating effective communication, adaptability under pressure, and a commitment to delivering consistent results in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Working Hours
41.25 hours per week, on a two-weekly rotating shift cycle as follows
- 06:00–14:15
- 14:00–22:15
Weekend coverage may be required depending on business needs and will be distributed fairly across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production line equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly.
- Conduct line changeovers and setups according to production schedules.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Record and report equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements.
- Support root cause analysis for recurring technical issues.
- Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with LT Foods UK’s health & safety, food safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly to the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Support the implementation of safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
