Role Overview

We are looking for a licensed Forklift Truck Driver to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods within our fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting production and dispatch operations. The role requires strong attention to detail, safety awareness, teamwork, and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Working Hours

41.25 hours per week, on a two-weekly rotating shift cycle as follows:

  • Week 1: 06:00–14:15
  • Week 2: 14:00–22:15

Weekend coverage may be required depending on business needs and will be distributed fairly across teams, on a voluntary basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload goods from production lines.
  • Transport materials and finished products to designated areas.
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and report any faults immediately.
  • Maintain accurate stock movement records and follow inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties when required, including hygiene.
  • Work collaboratively with production and logistics teams to meet operational targets.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with LT Foods UK’s health & safety, food safety, and quality assurance standards.
  • Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly to the appropriate Manager or Shift Supervisor.
  • Support the implementation of safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Participate in health and safety briefings and training sessions as required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid forklift truck license (Counterbalance). PPT desirable.
  • Previous experience in an FMCG or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and handle physical tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including weekends if required.
  • Experience with stock management systems or handheld scanners.
  • Knowledge of warehouse layout optimisation and FIFO principles.
