The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

To work in a survey team to carry out earthing condition assessments at substations and other high voltageinstallations. The work will be split between site work, undertaken at locations throughout the UK, occasionally overseas and will often involve working away from home up to five days per week, as well as office-based tasks that can be undertaken either at our office in Driffield or on a remote basis.

  • Carrying out earth system electrical tests and visual inspections to confirm the installed earthing system is intact and safe.
  • Fence earthing electrical testing and inspection.
  • Undertake soil resistivity measurements and fall of potential tests.
  • Collate site survey data obtained. The data obtained will be used to produce detailed technical reports.
  • You would be working as part of a small team at locations throughout the UK.
  • The role typically requires working away from home, Monday to Friday (travelling Monday morning, returning Friday afternoon). When working away from home, you will have your own good quality hotel room and expenses for food can be claimed.
  • When not working on site, you would be working from our offices in Driffield. This will involve equipment maintenance and general administration tasks.

  • You may also have to work on other activities related to other LSTC departments.
  • Carry out reasonable duties as directed by the department leads or Directors.
  • Willing to work at other LSTC or Client Offices and / or attend site visits as required.
  • Contribute within the Company to our Health and Safety culture.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers.
  • Input into LSTC’s training process and procedures as required.
  • Build an outstanding working relationship with LSTC teams and Clients

Qualifiications & Experience

Qualifications:

  • Formal qualifications are not required, as full training will be provided. However, an electrical qualification would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • Experience working at high voltage installations would be an advantage, but not essential.

Personal Situation

  • Willing to undertake short excursions within the UK to meet clients and contractors as required and occasionally working unsocial hours
  • Willing to occasionally work at other LSTC or Client Offices
  • Hold a valid UK Driving Licence (or licence acceptable to our insurers).
