The Project Administrator will be part of OHL Engineering team responsible for providing dedicated support to the Overhead Line (OHL) Engineering team.

The role will be responsible for project administration and CMAP management, ensuring projects are set up, tracked and administered consistently across the department.

They will act as the central point of coordination for project administration, helping to improve efficiency, data quality, reporting accuracy and financial performance while allowing engineers to focus on technical delivery

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Manage incoming enquiries, proposals and orders within CMAP.
  • Set up and maintain project folders and project records.
  • Track quotations and liaise with engineers to ensure proposals are issued promptly.
  • Update CMAP with quotation, project and financial information.
  • Support payment applications, invoicing and client follow-up activities.
  • Work with engineers to maintain project forecasts, progress updates and project sliders.
  • Ensure CMAP data is accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Promote consistent project administration processes across all OHL teams.
  • Support the rollout of CMAP improvements and new ways of working.
  • Assist with project reporting and general administrative support.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics [Essential].
  • Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent qualification [Desirable].

Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or project support role.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Experience within an engineering, consultancy or project-based environment. [Desirable]
  • Experience using CMAP or similar project management systems. [Desirable]
  • Understanding of project, invoicing and financial administration processes. [Desirable]
