As Project Manager β Earthing you will lead multidisciplinary project teams in profitably delivering development and design projects. You will have responsibility for the contractual, financial and programme performance of these projects.
This will involve overseeing the delivery and governance of the Earthing departmentβs project portfolio:
- Managing multiple projects and programmes to support the Earthing business unit in delivering their workbook.
- Monitoring project timelines, milestones, cross-programme risks, changes and resource constraints across the department.
- Tracking overall portfolio health and managing the invoicing process.
You will act as the primary point of contact for departmental project updates and financial queries and facilitate regular project review meetings with project leads, the Head of Department and Director of Operations.
The work will be office based with travel for meetings, workshops, and site visits (as required).
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Project Management
- Oversee versee the end-to-end portfolio of projects within the business unit, ensuring adherence to project management frameworks and standards.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, and resource constraints across the department.
- Prepare and manage the Project Programme(s)
- Identify cross-project dependencies and mitigate potential conflicts or bottlenecks.
- Provide guidance to individual project delivery teams to ensure alignment with business unit objectives.
- Lead and coordinate a project team to deliver the scope of work on time and to budget (with profitable outcomes).
- Manage the contract and variations and invoicing process
Portfolio Reporting
- Act as the primary point of contact for departmental portfolio updates and financial queries.
- Facilitate regular portfolio review meetings with project leads and Head of Department and Director of Operations.
- Consolidate project data to produce comprehensive weekly and monthly portfolio performance reports for Head of Department and Director of Operations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), project health, and milestones.
Financial Control & Invoicing Management
- Manage and reconcile monthly invoicing status reports across the entire project portfolio.
- Track project spend against agreed budgets, identifying variances and forecasting future financial requirements.
- Coordinate with the accounts department and clients to ensure timely invoice processing and resolution of invoicing discrepancies.
Qualifications
Qualifications and experience:
- A suitable engineering or project management related qualification, degree or equivalent.
