An exciting new opportunity has arisen within LSL’s Estate Agency Division finance team for a Credit Control and Collections Clerk to join our busy and energetic team on a full time, permanent contract. Supporting our Your Move & Reeds Rains estate agency brands, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit controller, collections agent or someone with contact centre experience to expand and develop their career with a supportive employer who is committed to helping our colleagues succeed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities of a Credit Control and Collections Clerk include:
- Responsible for chasing and collection of any overdue rent and fees
- Handling a large volume of inbound and outbound calls
- Using best practice to move issues along at pace and in a tenacious and energetic way
- Pro-actively speak with tenants to find their reasons for non-payment of rent, and with landlords to update them on the issues
- Always being aware of team and individual collection targets and understanding progress against the targets
- Negotiating with tenants and landlords to mutually agree arrears instalment plans
- Administrative duties related to estate agency lettings
- Handling complaints and issuing 1st line responses
- Liaising with Operations and internal functions to resolve queries
Essentials Skills, Qualities & Experience Required to join the team:
- Experience of credit control procedures or possession of customer service/contact centre experience
- Ability to stay calm and composed on phone calls
- Able to prioritise and organise own workload
- Approachable and able to work as part of a team
- Target driven with a pro-active nature
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Highly numerate with good working knowledge of MS Excel & Word
- Ability to understand company processes and procedures documentation and successfully complete all in-house training
