The Role
You will be responsible for running the pastry section, preparing and presenting desserts to a consistently high standard and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Head Chef and the rest of the team, you'll have the opportunity to bring your creativity and skills to the menu.
Key Responsibilities
- - Prepare and present desserts and pastries to a high standard..
- - Manage the day-to-day running of the pastry section..
- - Ensure consistency, quality and attention to detail across all dishes..
- - Assist with menu development and new dessert ideas..
- - Keep your section organised, clean and well-stocked..
- - Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste..
- - Follow food safety and hygiene standards..
- - Support and work closely with the wider kitchen team..
What We're Looking For
- - Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or in a similar role..
- - A genuine passion for pastry and desserts..
- - Good knowledge of pastry techniques and dessert preparation..
- - Experience in a quality restaurant or hotel environment..
- - Strong attention to detail and a creative approach..
- - Ability to work independently and as part of a team..
- - Good organisation and the ability to work well under pressure..
- - A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop..
