We work with a wide range of customers including many household blue-chip brand names.

We are looking for Promotional Merchandise

Graphic Designers based at our Head Office address in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire.

Requirements

  • Responsible for creating design solutions which have a high visual impact.
  • To think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
  • To work on a variety of media from promotional merchandise, clothing, packaging, newsletters, corporate identities, advertising, exhibitions and displays.
  • Contributing ideas and designing artwork to meet client, or internal sales, briefs.
  • To produce artwork based on customers' requirements within product guidelines.
  • To provide an accurate and efficient link between sales, sales administration, customers and suppliers with regards to artwork generated.
  • To provide suppliers with accurate print ready artwork which meets the customer's requirements and amending where necessary.

Responsibilities/Main Tasks

  • Producing artwork for merchandise/clothing orders generated by the Sales Department.
  • Liaising with the sales and sales administration departments, as well as customers and suppliers regarding the generation artwork and any necessary amendments.
  • Ensuring all departmental procedures are followed and that all deadlines are met.
  • Responsibility for the efficiency and accuracy of all artwork generated.
  • Following product guidelines to ensure artwork sent to suppliers is suitable for print.
  • Generating visual concepts and in-house printed samples to aid sales in new business generation.
  • Design and develop new products for a retail environment that can be released to others as well as our own various retail websites.
  • Support the Senior Graphic Designer to complete internal design tasks, including catalogue covers, newsletters, mini-brochures, exhibition stands, mail outs etc.
  • Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to ensure the smooth running of the artwork department.
  • As a small company, the position requires a great deal of flexibility on your part which may require you to help out in other areas of the business.

Skills and Attributes

  • Extensive knowledge of design software, such as Illustrator and In Design, and photo-editing packages, such as Photoshop.
  • Time Management - Managing one's own time and to balance work on several projects at once.
  • Active Listening & Communication - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
  • Originality and Creative Flair - The ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
  • Fluency of Ideas - The ability to come up with a number of ideas about a topic.
  • Visualization - A strong visual sense with the ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
  • Attention to Details & Proof-reading - to produce accurate and high-quality work.
  • Resilience - the ability to work under pressure and maintain a matter-of-fact approach when ideas or designs are rejected.
  • Work with a rapidly growing Promotional Merchandise distributor.
  • In-house print capabilities across product & packaging to test design concepts.
  • Friendly team with different areas of expertise.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (9:00am - 5:30pm).
