We are looking for a reliable and hands-on General Maintenance Team Member to join our team, maintaining HMO accommodation across over 1,300 bedrooms in the Liverpool area. This is a varied role suited to someone with a strong general maintenance background who can turn their hand to most tasks and takes pride in keeping properties to a high standard and working as part of a maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repairs across multiple student, professional and social care properties.
- General repairs including joinery, basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and decorating.
- Responding to reactive maintenance issues and completing planned works.
- Dealing with fast paced summer turnover period.
- Identifying and reporting larger repair issues where specialist contractors are required.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Feeding back to office staff and using mobile phone software to send jobs, update notes and provide feedback to tenants.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in general property maintenance or a similar role.
- Able to turn your hand to most maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to work pro-actively and at pace.
- Must be willing to cover out of hours, evening and weekend works on a rota basis for call out works.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently whilst also forming part of a strong team, particularly during the busy summer maintenance period.
- Professional and friendly manner when dealing with tenants.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
