Technology Services Category Manager
Location: London, United Kingdom
Role Overview
The Technology Services Category team is responsible for Global Category Management and Strategic Sourcing of third‑party resources across LSEG, focusing on the Technology Engineering organisation. The primary purpose of this role is to provide procurement support to Technology Engineering Project Leaders, building senior relationships, developing a project pipeline, driving complex procurement projects and maintaining key supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Provide procurement support to Technology Engineering Project Leaders.
- Build senior relationships, understand business objectives and explore current and potential third‑party deployments.
- Develop a project pipeline to help the Company exceed savings targets.
- Drive and run processes for complex procurement projects.
- Maintain relationships with assigned key suppliers and lead the commercial framework for those suppliers.
- Support the Procurement organisation’s global team distributed across the UK, USA, Spain, Singapore, India and Sri Lanka.
Qualifications
- Experience in complex sourcing projects within high‑pressure environments.
- Knowledge of Request For Solution (RFS) sourcing process and commercial/outsourcing cost models.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to monitor, assess and resolve variances in budget, timing or quality.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data functions) and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Understanding of GDPR legislation and contract markup from LSEG templates.
- Ability to work without supervision and support mentor junior team members.
Essential Skills
- Excellent communicator and influencer.
- Strong project management and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Fieldglass SOW module, Oracle iProcurement and Ariba.
- Knowledge of GDPR and contract markup from LSEG templates.

Candidate Experience
Several years of experience in a complex, high‑pressure environment, leading sourcing projects with multiple partners. Experience in Financial Services sector is beneficial but not essential. Leading or previously led key technology services supplier relationships with suppliers such as TCS, EPAM, Luxoft, Infosys, etc. is highly desired. Business Consulting engagement experience is also highly desirable.
Education
A relevant bachelor’s degree is preferred.
