This role sits within LSEG’s Business Marketing team and supports the Data & Feeds proposition within the Data & Analytics division. Business Marketing partners closely with Product and Sales to drive commercial outcomes through insight-led and creative marketing.
We are looking for a Senior Specialist to lead content strategy and execution for the Real-Time & Quantitative Data business. You will bring our narratives and messaging to life through compelling, customer-centric content that helps financial institutions and technology buyers understand our expertise and capabilities. Reporting to the Marketing Director for Data & Feeds and working closely with a Senior Manager in the team, you will be the trusted owner of content across the business. You will ensure content plans are tightly aligned to the overall marketing strategy and deliver high-impact content that performs across all stages of the marketing funnel.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Content Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a strategic content marketing plan aligned to product marketing and go-to-market priorities, supporting commercial objectives across the full marketing funnel.
- Content Calendar: Build and be responsible for the editorial and content calendar, ensuring content is prioritised, quality-controlled, delivered on time, and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Opportunity Identification: Use customer insight, market trends and competitor analysis to identify content opportunities, gaps and differentiation.
- Content Development & Execution: Produce and be responsible for high-quality B2B content across formats including blogs, whitepapers, reports, fact sheets, social assets and infographics.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with product to ensure content is accurate, compelling and customer-centric.
- GTM Messaging: Support product launches and enhancements with clear, effective messaging and content aligned to GTM plans.
- Teamwork & Creative Leadership: Act as the central point of coordination across internal partners such as our content studio and external agencies to deliver impactful content.
- Innovation: Explore new insights, formats and creative approaches, bringing “art of the possible” thinking to content execution.
- Distribution & Engagement: Collaborate with activation and channel teams to optimise distribution and drive meaningful engagement.
- Performance, Optimisation & Governance: Apply analytical rigour to content performance, using data, SEO guidelines and insight to optimise efficiency and advise future planning.
- Content Value: Improve content value through refresh, reuse and re-purposing across formats and channels.
- Governance: Maintain strong governance across brand, visual and verbal identity, compliance and content accuracy.
- Budget & Feedback: Handle content budgets and feedback loops to continuously improve quality, efficiency and impact.
- Innovation & Efficiency: Leverage AI-enabled tools and ways of working to improve content quality, speed to market and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Content Marketing Expertise: B2B content marketing experience, ideally within data, technology or financial services.
- Narrative Translation: Ability to translate sophisticated, technical or quantitative concepts into clear, accessible narratives.
- Writing & Planning: Strong writing, editing and content planning skills, with high standards of accuracy.
- Collaboration: Confident working with designers, writers, agencies and technical SMEs.
- SEO: Understanding of SEO and digital content optimisation.
- Partnership & Collaboration: Experience working in a global, matrixed environment.
- Stakeholder & Project Management: Strong stakeholder and project management skills; comfortable gathering inputs and driving alignment.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Experience with marketing planning, design, analytics and AI tools (e.g., Workfront, Tableau, Adobe).
- Data-driven Approach: Ability to measure content effectiveness.
