You’ll work at the heart of financial technology, leveraging Arista and Cisco networking, F5 load balancing, and advanced firewall solutions (Palo Alto, Fortinet) to maintain secure, high-speed connectivity. Your expertise with Solace messaging bus and performance monitoring tools like Netscout nPoint, Corvil, and cPacket will help guarantee flawless data flow across trading environments. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Solace Messaging. Performing installations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations of a variety of products aligned to globally consistent methodologies with moderate guidance.
- Installing and maintaining Networking equipment using automation tools.
- Effectively communicating with a wide group of stakeholders.
- Executing the development and implementation of solution to appropriate standards with moderate guidance.
- Supporting initiatives for process and service improvements within the team.
- Supporting the maintenance of the integrated solution provided to clients with moderate guidance.
- Supporting members of the team to deliver on the strategic priorities, has a working knowledge of basic concepts and procedures.
- Ability to handle client queries related to professional services post implementation with moderate guidance.
- Supporting the technology lifecycle through the design, build and maintenance of systems, software and applications to ensure the highest quality outcomes across the domains.
- Work well as part of a dedicated project team - providing valuable input and considering business impact of decisions.
- Work well with Network architects bringing designs to reality.
- Translating business requirements into technical requirements and infrastructure and network capacity needs by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analysis.
- Ensuring relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards.
- Scheduling and coordinates capacity/network upgrades, liaising with other areas of the business as needed to ensure service level objectives are met.
- Managing upgrades and coordinates internal and third parties where required.
- Creating accurate documentation and monitors system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities.
- Overseeing design work in the network domain and contributes to creating solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an IT related discipline.
- Previous experience in Architecture / Engineering.
- Significant experience in technology-based roles.
- Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
- Demonstrable years of experience in network operations and project delivery with ideally Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto.
- Strong Network routing and switching skills including LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP and OSPF.
- Good knowledge of multicast including IGMP, RP and PIM.
- Knowledge of low latency and associated technologies as deployed in the financial sector.
- Excellent knowledge of network packet analysing and pack capture tools.
- Good knowledge and experience with Data Centre Networking including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, AVD, Fortimanager.
- Experience in Cloud and good understanding of network security, including best practices.
- Understanding on load balancing technologies, TCP/IP and Multicast, and internet environments.
- Good knowledge of required Service Management process, ideally ITIL knowledgeable (Service Now).
- Proven exposure to financial sector and associated technologies.
- Good scripting and automation experience (Python & Ansible).
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills with client management skills.
