ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Manager / Director, Trading – Emerging & Frontier Markets is responsible for defining and delivering the Trading strategy across EFM, with a focus on proposition leadership, market development, and revenue growth. The role owns key Trading propositions including Auctions, Fixed Income Advanced Dealing, and FICC strategy, and acts as a senior advocate for the Trading business with clients, industry bodies, and regulators. In addition, the role is accountable for product enablement, operational readiness, and governance approvals required for market launches, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks to achieve “right to operate” and successful go‑to‑market execution.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Lead the end‑to‑end Trading proposition across Emerging and Frontier Markets, from strategy definition, client validation and product delivery.
- Own product enablement, readiness, and launch governance, including coordination of internal approvals, risk, compliance, and regulatory sign‑offs to ensure successful market entry and operational readiness.
- Define and drive regional product, content, and feature roadmaps, aligned to client needs, market structure, regulatory considerations, and commercial objectives.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Product, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Sales) to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of Trading initiatives, including prioritisation and feature trade‑offs.
- Leverage client feedback and market insight to increase adoption, retention, and recurring usage.
- Support business planning, investment prioritisation, and partnership decisions, including build‑versus‑buy assessments.
- Partner with Sales, Account Management and Customer Success Management teams to support client engagement, retention, and growth initiatives.
- Provide clear, structured strategy updates and progress reporting to senior management and governance forums.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- EFM Trading market expertise, significant experience across financial markets +15 years (including FX, Fixed Income, and/or Commodities) and a strong understanding of Emerging and Frontier Market structures, regulation, infrastructure, and client behaviour, translating market insight into actionable commercial opportunity.
- Confirmed business builder, demonstrating success in driving market development and adoption across multi‑jurisdictional environments, while taking full ownership of outcomes and delivering measurable commercial impact.
- Value proposition to end‑to‑end execution, ability to anticipate market trends, identify and prioritise opportunities, and define, validate, and deliver propositions from strategy and client engagement through to execution and commercialisation, generating sustainable long‑term value.
- Communication, ability to articulate clear, logical strategies and progress updates to senior leadership, influence alignment across team members, and represent the business with credibility and confidence.
