Role Overview
Senior Associate in Corporate Finance & Financial Risk, reporting to the Director. The role is hybrid with an expectation of three days per week in office. Responsibilities include supporting all external funding activities within Treasury, bond issuance, loan finance, rating agency relations, inter‑company loan administration, and forecasting net finance expense.
Key Responsibilities
Support the maintenance of the Group’s funding documentation and manage due diligence processes.
Assist in delivering the Group’s >£1bn annual bond issuance, including bookrunner selection, debt investor marketing and syndicate calls.
Analyse and recommend use of interest‑rate and cross‑currency swaps to manage interest rate, FX and other financial risks.
Contribute to all loan financing (bilateral and syndicated) and documentation review.
Arrange the annual cycle of rating agency meetings and compose related presentations.
Develop understanding of rating agency models to support strategic dialogue on credit ratings.
Manage the Group’s portfolio of intercompany loans and ensure accurate documentation.
Collaborate with Group Tax and Corporate Development on new intragroup funding structures.
Lead the forecast of the Group’s net finance expense and related financial modelling.
Draft and present the Treasury risk paper; lead other Group Risk workstreams such as liquidity risk analysis.
Build internal and external networks to support business partnering.
Identify opportunities for Treasury to demonstrate effective use of LSEG products and support commercial priorities.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, Treasury policy and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or equivalent experience; studying for or holding a professional qualification (AMCT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
Ability to review and comment on all financing documents, often with legal support.
Effective communicator, able to articulate facts and ideas in person and in writing.
Desire for professional development and career progression.
