Senior FBP reporting to the LCH Group CFO, supporting the Equities, Fixed Income and Collateral & Liquidity Business Lines within the Markets Division. The business provides systemically critical services to the market, is globally relevant and is highly regulated by several regulators including the Bank of England, Banque De France and CFTC. The division provides a range of clearing and bilateral services as well as financial resource optimisation and reporting solutions to support customers’ risk and balance sheet management, regulatory reporting, and capital efficiency.

This role requires a dedicated and experienced finance business partner who can work closely with the LCH Group CFO, its leadership team, and the Heads of the Businesses.

  • A self-starter and independent worker with the ability to deal with ambiguity and imperfect data.
  • E2e ownership of all financial aspects of the business including month end, budgets, FY forecasts, strategic support, key projects and commercial negotiations.
  • Enabling the senior management to achieve the targeted financial results by providing adequate business and commercial support.
  • Demonstrate strong customer-focus with a commercial approach and analytical skills.
  • Understand the key business levers indicators and link that will financial data for proactive decision support and value for the leadership team.
  • Delivering the results within budget and tracking it closely through monthly full year forward looking forecast/analysis, ensuring no surprises across the Leadership teams, Business management, Finance.
  • Working with the business on maintaining a monthly/FY forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities where appropriate as well as levers for optimization/mitigation.
  • Develop cases and financial returns analysis to support the development of our international business and other change initiatives.
  • Periodic preparation of Board Packs, Planning and Coordinating the budget cycle for LCH Ltd, Annual Stress Testing and Reverse Stress Testing and Annual Wind-down assessment of LCH Ltd.
  • Working closely with Procurement/Vendor Management on contract negotiation/recognition and challenging assumptions from Vendor Management.

Qualifications:

  • ACA, CIMA, MBA or other similar accounting qualification.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint required.
  • A good understanding of the industry and business context is desirable.

Skills:

  • Experience in previous Business Partnering and Decision Support or FP&A Role is desirable.
  • Has a commercial approach, able to provide strategic inputs as well as constructive challenge.
  • Monitoring financial performance and proactively finding opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Thrives in a matrixed environment supporting senior partners.
  • Can navigate ambiguity and work through options with the broader team.
  • Leadership and development of the broader Finance Team including working closely with our colleagues in various locations globally.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and an ability to function effectively as part of a global team that coordinates, works, and reports out of different geographies.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
