Purpose of the role
The Senior Marketing Manager for Northern Europe is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive marketing program to support sales and retention objectives. The Senior Marketing Manager for these markets will work closely with Sales and Account Management and global Communications & Marketing teams to deliver global marketing programs tailored to local market and business needs, which holistically combine thought leadership content, media initiatives, advertising, events, and digital approaches.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Bring the brand to life. Determine how to activate the LSEG brand and its solutions in the most impactful way in market, infusing the brand and values into every marketing initiative.
- Translate global campaigns into localised market opportunity. Ensure global marketing programs are activated in the most effective and efficient way in market, tailoring messaging, content and channel strategy as necessary to accommodate local needs.
- Manage all components of the market activation plan. Partner with sales, business development and marketing colleagues to design, build, activate and measure customer-centric marketing programs to support regional growth and retention objectives.
- Keep the focus on the customer. Utilise the full marketing mix to plan and execute demand generation tactics that drive awareness, interest, consideration and ultimately purchase of LSEG products.
- Drive results in a team environment. Leverage effective partnerships with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality marketing programs.
- Run the business as if it’s your own. Effectively maximise ROI of marketing tactics by regularly reporting on the success of activities, and using data to make decisions.
- Become an expert. Maintain a strong understanding of the industry, market dynamics, customer challenges and LSEG businesses and products.
- Leadership skills. Strong leader who effectively manages teams to deliver integrated local marketing plans that drive brand impact and revenue growth.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of marketing experience, combining strategic vision with a track record of delivering commercial outcomes.
- Experience collaborating across a matrixed B2B organisation is preferred, and knowledge of financial markets would be beneficial.
- Undergraduate degree in marketing or related field.
- Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive brand awareness and sales.
- Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced and matrixed team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organisational requirements.
- Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget.
- Strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate complex information to all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional leadership, management, interpersonal, negotiation and thought leadership skills.
- Hands-on, gets-things-done approach.
- Practical experience implementing AI within marketing planning and execution and delivering measurable results.
- Fluency in English a must. Fluency in another language of the region is a plus.
