Role Summary

The Business Operations Associate will support the successful delivery of business operations, planning activities and strategic priorities across the Engineering function.

Working closely with engineering stakeholders, the role will help drive effective communication, operational excellence and team effectiveness through coordination, reporting, planning and engagement activities, while contributing to the successful delivery of key initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supports daily operational activities across the Engineering function to help deliver strategic objectives.
  • Supports the coordination of timelines, templates, submissions and results for key business processes and project outcomes.
  • Gathers meeting notes, tracks actions and follows up with colleagues to ensure agreed activities are completed.
  • Assists in the preparation of presentations, briefing materials, reports and communications for leadership and broader team audiences.
  • Supports the collection, analysis and reporting of operational metrics and management information.
  • Maintains documentation, process guides and team artefacts to support effective knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
  • Supports planning and logistics for team meetings, events, offsites and engagement activities.
  • Assists with purchasing, vendor management and administrative business processes where required.
  • Finds opportunities to improve processes and team effectiveness and supports implementation of improvements.
  • Builds relationships across technology teams to support collaboration and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple activities and contending priorities.
  • Ability to analyse information and present findings in a clear and structured way.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of team members.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about engineering, business operations and organisational processes.
  • Positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Experience creating presentations, reports or analysing information would be beneficial.
