We are seeking an experienced Director, Sustainable Research & Analytics to join the Sustainable Leadership team at FTSE Russell, a fully owned subsidiary of London Stock Exchange Group. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Sustainable. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, relevance and strategic value of the sustainable indices and index-based research, reporting and analysis for our clients.
Role Summary:- Research & Analysis: Leading research and analysis on sustainable, climate and thematic data to support the integrity, evolution, and innovation of our sustainable index and analytics products.
- Data Integration and Management: Working closely with teams across FTSE Russell, including data and index management, to ensure we meet LSEG Data Governance and Model Standards.
- Leadership: Managing a team of data specialists and analysts across global locations, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and innovation.
- Collaboration: Working with internal and external stakeholders, to produce client centric research, insights and analytics.
- Lead and Inspire: Drive a product-led culture across direct team of data specialists and researchers, and as part of the wider Sustainable team.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on existing and new sustainable, climate and thematic data sets to support the integrity and evolution of existing indices, and development of new indices.
- Data Strategy: Review data methodologies/ methodology changes to ensure 'fit for purpose'; due diligence and recommend new/ alternative data sets.
- Data Integration and Management: Represent Sustainable Product within the Data Governance Forum.
- Analytics and Reporting: Develop and embed index-related analytics to support client insights and regulatory requirements.
- Client Engagement: Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the SI index product offering.
- Thought Leadership & Marketing: Publish and speak on client-centric research, insights and analytics.
- Proven experience in climate index investment.
- Demonstrates inclusive leadership by building high-performing, collaborative teams.
- Excellent coordination and attention to detail.
- Deep knowledge of quantitative investment portfolio techniques.
- 12+ years of extensive equity and/or fixed income investment analytics experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of global financial markets and products.
- Experience with sustainable investment datasets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed, multi-site organization.
- Ability to take a strategic approach to identifying and evaluating commercial opportunities.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and/or MATLAB is an advantage.
