What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define, develop and implement cloud category strategies for the group.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to deliver against strategic initiatives and maximise vendor value.
  • Use data and market insights to guide sourcing decisions and cost optimisation activities.
  • Anticipate procurement risks (e.g., licensing compliance, vendor lock-in) and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives, RFPs, and contract negotiations with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
  • Ensure that contracts protect LSEG’s interests and mitigate operational and licensing risks.
  • Leverage tools like e-Procurement and e-Auctions to drive value.
  • Support supplier performance improvement and risk management.
  • Build strong relationships with technology and business leaders, especially in Infrastructure, Cloud, Data and Analytics.
  • Act as a commercial advisor and escalation point for CSP vendor issues.
  • Lead SRM for strategic CSP vendors, including regular reviews and governance.
  • Oversee renewals and focus on high-value opportunities (e.g. product acquisition, cost optimisation, lifetime support and licensing).
  • Maintain procurement systems and track savings and compliance metrics.
  • Support end-to-end sourcing processes and contract variations.
  • Promote guidelines and support procurement transformation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Group Procurement.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong procurement background in Technology, with a focus on Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
  • Strong understanding of CSP licensing, commercial and contractual models and discount programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience in technology contract negotiation, support and maintenance, licensing models, and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence internal partners up to Executive level.
  • Degree or equivalent experience; experience in regulated or global environments preferred.
  • Desirable MCIPS or similar procurement qualification.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing CSP contracts e.g. AWS, Google.
  • Experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Technology, or global organisations.
