The Analyst, Live Service is responsible for providing pre-trade and post-trade operational support. Reporting to the Manager, Live Service, this is a high-impact, market-facing role that sits at the heart of the LSE 24/5 operating model, helping ensure the smooth operation of extended-hours trading. The role plays a critical part in maintaining market integrity and resilience through activities such as stock suspensions, trading cycle interventions, order deletions, and real-time market monitoring.

The Live Service Team delivers real-time operational support and middle-office services across the London Stock Exchange and Turquoise markets. Working at the center of a dynamic trading environment, the team collaborates closely with Sales, Product, Technology, exchange and clearing members, and CCPs to support market operations and drive strategic business and product initiatives. The Live Service Market Operations team forms part of Market Supervision, which oversees the efficient, compliant, and resilient operation of LSEG markets, including LSE and Turquoise venues. Through real-time and post-trade surveillance, operational oversight, incident management, and market support, the team plays a key role in enabling the successful delivery of the LSE 24/5 operating model and supporting the evolution of modern market infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support extended-hours trading operations as part of the LSE 24/5 operating model, handling and resolving live-service and post-trade issues to ensure market stability, operational resilience, and high-quality client service.
  • Act as an operational escalation point for market events and incidents, coordinating with business, technology, and external partners to drive timely resolution and minimize market impact.
  • Undertake market recovery actions for the LSE 24/5 market, including alternative site recovery, late market and manual market start-ups, trading halts and resumptions, instrument suspensions and resumptions, and partition recovery.
  • Provide real-time operational support for market activities across the LSE 24/5 market.
  • Perform structured shift handovers and maintain operational continuity across regional teams supporting the LSE 24/5 market.
  • Identify and minimize risks within pre-trade and post-trade operations by reviewing risk indicators and tracking actions to remediate control gaps.
  • Lead and maintain real-time static and multifaceted instrument and reference data.
  • Act as the first-line operational support contact for client queries, issues, and disputes.
  • Collaborate optimally across products, teams, and business areas to deliver robust services and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proposed desk coverage is from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Provide weekend and bank holiday coverage as the need arises.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Technology, and Sales/Trading teams on system enhancements and development initiatives.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical and production issues and incidents.
  • Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in internal projects focused on process improvement and industry or regulatory change.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
