Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Group Director – Brand and Regional Marketing, this is a senior leadership role responsible for defining how LSEG is positioned as an enterprise brand. You will lead the development of a clear, differentiated market narrative that simplifies our proposition, strengthens our brand architecture, and ensures a consistent story across customers, partners and employees. You will oversee both the current Brand Strategy and Strategic Initiatives Marketing teams, bringing together enterprise positioning, messaging, and strategic marketing into a single, coordinated function. Working closely with senior leaders across the Group, you will ensure the Make More Possible platform and LSEG's strategic industry themes evolve together to create a coherent, scalable market proposition that supports business growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Defining and delivering LSEG's enterprise brand strategy, ensuring alignment with the Group strategy and commercial priorities.
- Owning the enterprise positioning of LSEG, developing a clear, differentiated market narrative that simplifies how the organisation is understood by customers and stakeholders.
- Leading the Brand Strategy and Strategic Initiatives Marketing teams, creating close alignment between brand, messaging, positioning and strategic marketing.
- Developing and maintaining LSEG's enterprise messaging architecture, ensuring consistency across all audiences, channels and business areas.
- Defining, evolving and governing LSEG's strategic industry themes (currently including Sustainable Finance & Investment (SFI), AI, Private Markets and Digitalisation), ensuring they remain aligned to changing business priorities.
- Bringing the enterprise story to life through the Make More Possible platform, ensuring strategic themes reinforce the overall LSEG brand rather than compete with it.
- Simplifying and evolving LSEG's brand architecture to improve customer understanding, reduce complexity and support future growth.
- Delivering and overseeing LSEG's global brand strategy and amplification, partnering with teams across Corporate Affairs & Marketing to strengthen brand awareness, familiarity, and differentiation across markets.
- Embedding AI tools and capabilities into brand and marketing workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, quality, and effectiveness.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation to align brand investment with commercial, customer and corporate priorities.
- Leading and developing high-performing teams while embedding modern ways of working and AI-enabled capabilities.
