During your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge and experience in a supportive environment by working within one of our Engineering Teams based in London and work towards a degree apprenticeship in BSc (Hons) Applied Digital Technology. The ideal candidate will have completed at least one A Level in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics related subject and due to gain their results August 2026 or already gained them in 2025.
Engineering Roles in the Engineering apply deep technical and analytical expertise to build, operate and improve the platforms, products, services and models that power our business. Spanning software and platform, reliability, quality, cyber security, service operations, service management, financial engineering and data science, these roles work across the full lifecycle to solve complex problems, enable secure and resilient delivery, and drive continuous improvement in a product-led, data-driven environment.
During initial application we are looking for candidates that have the academic background and the interest to pursue an Engineering Degree Apprenticeship, and as you progress, more information will be shared about the different teams.
What We’re Looking For
- You should be into tech—understand coding as a beginner and ability to read software code.
- Good understanding through your studies or personal projects of using Microsoft applications, in particular Excel.
- The ideal candidate would have studied A level/BTEC subjects in maths, science, engineering.
- If you’ve got an interest in how the world of finance works, that’s a bonus!
- We love to see what you’ve learnt from your studies, your part-time jobs, or activities outside the classroom.
- We’re after people who are curious about data and like solving problems—if you enjoy digging into information and coming up with new ideas or solutions, you’ll fit right in.
- Being able to see the bigger picture and make connections between different things is a great skill to have.
- Our teams work quickly and things can change fast, so you’ll need to show you can focus, bounce back from setbacks, and roll with whatever comes your way.
- Most importantly, we want friendly team players! If you like working with others and can communicate well, we’d love to hear from you.
Requirements for a degree apprenticeship
- Be over 18 years of age.
- Live in England.
- Not already be in full-time education at the point of start date.
- Achieved level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A-Levels/BTEC etc.) in Engineering, maths or Science with 104 UCAS points (BCC).
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C).
- Not be entered for a qualification of the same type, content and level as that of this qualification.

Recruitment Process
- The first stage of the recruitment process involves making an application and submitting your resume.
- The next stage of the application process is an untimed Immersive Online Assessment designed to give you an insight into what it’s like to work at LSEG.
- The second stage is a video interview where you will answer a series of questions using a strength-based interview style.
- The final stage is a half-day assessment centre which involves several different types of exercises – further information is provided at the point of invite.
Please note, all our assessment centres are held in-person at 10 Paternoster Square Office.
