The DevOps team is responsible for contributing to and reusing standards-based DevOps patterns within a shared culture that enables developers to accelerate the delivery of software applications to the Cloud and on-premises environments. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate globally with highly motivated teams including Architecture, Application Delivery Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, and Developers to continually enhance DevOps capabilities. Our Lead DevOps at LSEG ensures the global availability of analytics applications and services, primarily operating in the public cloud (AWS/Azure) with some on-premises responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and automated infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain DevOps practices such as CI/CD and automated testing.
- Provide technical support to Operations and development teams.
- Manage software configuration, deployment, and releases.
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs.
- Maintain application security profiles.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in DevOps practices and Cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of Azure or AWS Cloud services (e.g., AKS, ACR, Azure Functions, Web Apps).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Proficiency with Version Control and CI/CD tools (Git, GitLab).
- Hands-on experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- A proactive learner with good interpersonal skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
Bonus Skills:
- Linux system administration, networking, IAM, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience implementing security standards in CI/CD pipelines (SonarQube, Semgrep).
Education and Certifications:
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience; AWS/Azure certifications are a plus.
