Markets Finance is looking for a senior finance professional to join Markets Finance Leadership Team, reporting to the CFO Markets and Risk Intelligence. The division comprises several businesses including the Equities, FX Tradeweb, LCH, Post Trade Solutions and Risk Intelligence.
The role:
This role requires a dedicated and experienced Head of Finance with accountability for P&L, B/S and C/F, who will work closely with Markets CFO and the business leaders including the Group Head of FX and broader FX leadership team.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Provide finance oversight of FX business and act as a key finance strategic partner for the FX business.
- Responsible for understanding, coordinating, and driving monthly performance management, including analysis of key KPIs and risks and opportunities.
- Lead all aspects of financial planning, including investment planning, to provide accurate forward-looking financials, with a clearly articulated narrative, identifying / securing opportunities and identifying / mitigating risks, all with a multi-year lens.
- Drive strategic scenarios and model various initiatives, including scenario and sensitivity analysis to facilitate decision making.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of business drivers and bring a comprehensive understanding of how these fit into Group strategy; Maintain and develop strong working relationships across the organisation beyond finance and the business, specifically partnering with FP&A and Strategy teams to deliver best in class analysis and processes.
- Partner with Financial Control to deliver statutory accounts, regulatory reporting and other relevant internal and external reporting within defined deadlines.
- Prepare monthly performance updates for FX Board meetings and Exco Co ensuring key risks, issues and opportunities are highlighted, with a focus on key value drivers.
- Key business partner to Senior FX Leadership team, providing recommendations on key initiatives across the organization.
- Lead versatile team maximizing efficiency of production through collaboration with other finance teams.
- Drive the transformation of finance demanding best in class solutions and challenging the status quo.
- Lead M&A activities, including but not limited to owning financial modelling, sizing synergies. Work closely with the Strategy team for valuation and target tracking.
- Work closely with the FX sales team on commercial policy and commissions approach to create value for the business.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant work experience demonstrating progression through various finance roles.
- Demonstrate experience of partnering and influencing senior business partners in a matrix environment.
- Commercially minded able to influence change across finance and related functions.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A high level of interpersonal skills and an ability to function effectively as part of a global team that coordinates, works, and reports out of different geographies.
- Degree qualified and accounting certification (CPA, CA etc.) and/or MBA.
