Overview: The Technology Operational Risk Controls Manager will work alongside the existing Technology 1LoD Operational Risk Management team and report to the Director, Operational Resilience – LSE plc and FX in Markets Engineering. This role involves assessing technical risks and collaborating with control owners to ensure controls are designed and functioning according to LSEG Group Technology standards, including risk assessments, reporting, and governance. The role also ensures compliance with frameworks such as COBIT 2019, NIST, and ITIL, focusing on vulnerability management, remediations, and regulatory compliance like PS21/3 and DORA. This is a fixed-term contract until the end of 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform 1st line check-and-challenge for releases within control scope and ensure SONAR reflects the risk profile.
  • Guide control owners to enhance their skills for better control design.
  • Identify gaps in technology standards/processes and collaborate on remediations.
  • Assess technology risks and track solutions in line with control gaps.
  • Build partnerships across business units, COO Technology, and risk teams.

Key Skills:

Essential:

  • Strong understanding of the LSE plc control suite and s166 commitments.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Proven documentation skills for governance materials.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Background in risk, audit, and controls assessment.
  • Knowledge of risk management methodologies and COBIT framework.
