London and South East Colleges (LSEC) is looking for a Deputy Estates Operations Manager to support and deputise the Estates Operations Manager in leading the facilities operations throughout the assigned sites. This includes all Facilities Operations (both Hard and Soft FM), leading on Customer Service towards Curriculum Education, Repairs, Maintenance, Remedial works and Statutory Compliance, ensuring the colleges are safe and compliant with the requirements of Curriculum activities.
The successful candidate should demonstrate expertise and experience in ensuring that:
- All works are carried out in accordance with appropriate guidance, Legislation, Directives and Regulations, including Building Regulations, Building Controls, CIBSE, Electricity at Work Act, IEE regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, and any other Act or EEC Directive that may be implemented from time to time.
- All Statutory Compliance is aligned with SFG20 standards, BSRIA and Manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Health and Safety expertise.
- Technical and practical (hands-on) skillset in both Hard and Soft Services, including reactive minor repairs, knowledge of fixed assets, equipment and systems.
The candidate should demonstrate strong resilience, diplomacy and confidence in managing individuals, be comfortable in delivering multiple tasks, projects, and conflicting priorities. Ultimately, they should be self-confident, highly visible to all college stakeholders, offering outstanding customer service.
