We are looking for an Assistant SENCo to join our new school. You should have a passion for learning, be highly motivated, work well as part of a team and be committed to engaging with pupils in a positive, calm and caring way. You can make life‑changing differences to children, working with a supportive, caring, dedicated staff and governing body. This post is for 32.5 hours a week.
We are the commissioned Alternative Provision in East Sussex for pupils who have been permanently excluded from school. Our school is based across three sites: one Primary (Eastbourne) and two Secondary (Newhaven).
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and where relevant, a Children’s and/or Adult’s Barred List check. Any offer of employment may be withdrawn if these checks are unsatisfactory. Self‑disclosure is required as part of the recruitment process, and failure to make a full disclosure or to provide proof of a DBS certificate is likely to result in withdrawal of an offer. The Trust’s DBS policy on ex‑offenders is available on request. All appointments are also subject to verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with Home Office requirements. Original documentation will be required prior to commencement of employment.
