Who we are

Part business, part charity, part membership body – students’ unions are seriously fun places to work. LSE Students’ Union, founded in 1897, is one of the oldest student unions in the UK and represents and campaigns for students at The London School of Economics and Political Science. The Union funds and facilitates student activities on campus, supports societies, sports clubs, and charitable initiatives.

About the job

We are looking for enthusiastic students to join our LSESU Bar Team. The team provides excellent service within the Saw Swee Hock building, including The Three Tuns Bar and the Venue, serving students, staff, alumni, and external clients. You will support the day‑to‑day operations of the bars, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and health and safety standards. You will provide high‑quality customer service, maintain product knowledge, and occasionally handle drinks service and event support.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate is confident, approachable, and enjoys delivering a high level of customer service. You should have strong communication skills, confidence to engage customers, multitasking and organisational abilities, and an aptitude for improvising and adapting on the fly. Attention to detail and willingness to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends, are required. Previous bar event experience is a plus but not essential.
