Job Specification
We are currently looking to recruit a motivated, committed and enthusiastic individual on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will be passionate about the Dream Big Sports brand and will be responsible for delivering high‑quality swimming lessons in primary schools.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering swimming lessons using a variety of techniques to engage and educate children.
- Helping children to develop their swimming ability and reach their full potential through consistent support.
- Teaching water safety skills to children in a fun and inclusive way, ensuring that they understand the importance of staying safe in and around water.
- Using high‑quality equipment and following safety standards to ensure lessons are a safe and enjoyable swimming experience.
- Creating a positive and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable and confident to learn.
- Providing regular feedback and evaluations to children and teachers to track progress/celebrate achievements.
- Completing relevant risk assessments and logs to ensure safety of participants.
- Taking appropriate steps to identify and overcome barriers to participation.
- Attending professional development where required for the role.
- Being a positive role model, creating a positive and engaging environment which encourages participation in sport and physical activity.
- Being a brand ambassador, demonstrating our company values.
- Assisting with the promotion of other Dream Big Sports products and services.

Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for primary school swimming.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering swimming lessons to 5‑11 year olds.
- Experience of using IT software.
Qualifications
- ASA Swim England Qualification
- First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding Qualification
- Current Enhanced DBS Check
- NPLQ (preferred)
General
- Driving licence and access to own form of transport.
- This job is subject to receipt of DBS and relevant references.
Training and Development
- Internal CPD (equivalent to 50 hours per annum)
- External training, workshops and resources.
- Regular performance reviews.
Working for Dream Big Sports
- Full-time contract of 35 hours per week.
- Competitive salary of £21,000 - £22,000.
