The Role … LSC are recruiting Activity Leaders to deliver high-quality wraparound care for primary school children. You will create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for children before and after the school day, supervising play, organising creative and physical activities, and supporting children’s social development. The role will involve setting up and clearing away activities, working with school staff, and maintaining accurate registers and basic records of attendance and incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote play, creativity and physical activity
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Support children with social interactions and encourage positive behaviour
- Set up and tidy activity areas and equipment before and after sessions
- Maintain accurate registers, report concerns and follow school safeguarding procedures
- Work collaboratively with school staff and other LSC colleagues to ensure continuity of care
- Contribute to planning and deliver themed sessions during holiday clubs when required

Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a club, school or childcare setting
- Access to a car or easily able to travel to location (B14 5PD)
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practice (training provided if required)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Food hygiene awareness for snack preparation (desirable)
- Valid DBS clearance (we can assist with application if needed)
