We have an exciting job opportunity for OSS Architect role at Newbury, UK.
We are seeking an experienced OSS Architect to design and lead the implementation of OSS solutions supporting fixed and mobile converged networks. You will be responsible for translating business and network requirements into robust OSS architecture frameworks, ensuring service agility, scalability, and operational excellence across hybrid telecommunications environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end OSS architecture supporting converged fixed and mobile networks (FTTH, 5G, LTE, xDSL, etc.).
- Develop high-level and detailed OSS solution designs including inventory, service fulfillment, assurance, and orchestration layers.
- Collaborate with BSS, network engineering, and IT teams to ensure integrated and aligned systems.
- Lead OSS transformation initiatives including legacy modernization and migration to cloud-native platforms.
- Define architecture patterns for automation, zero-touch provisioning, closed-loop assurance, and AI/ML-driven operations.
- Ensure compliance with TM Forum frameworks (eTOM, SID, Open APIs) and industry standards.
- Evaluate and integrate COTS OSS solutions and custom platforms, ensuring scalability and interoperability.
- Support RFP/RFI processes, vendor evaluations, and strategic sourcing decisions.
- Document architectural decisions and provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in OSS architecture, preferably with exposure to both fixed and mobile networks.
- Strong understanding of network technologies: IP/MPLS, 5G/4G RAN, GPON, DOCSIS, VoIP, IMS.
- Expertise in OSS domains: service assurance (NMS, performance, fault management), fulfillment (activation, provisioning), and inventory management.
- Familiarity with SDN/NFV, cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, microservices), and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with OSS tools/vendors like Netcracker, Amdocs, Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, or custom platforms.
- Knowledge of TM Forum standards, Open APIs, and ITIL frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Camunda, TOSCA, ONAP).
- Exposure to data analytics, AI/ML in network operations.
