An Amazing Opportunity to Join Our Chestnut Nursery Family
We are looking for a caring, organised and enthusiastic Nursery Cook to prepare healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children and babies in our nursery setting. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about good food, high standards of hygiene, and helping children develop positive lifelong habits around healthy eating.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Management team to:
- Plan seasonal menus
- Manage food stocks
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen
- Ensure all food preparation meets food hygiene, allergy management, dietary and Early Years requirements
The role also includes supporting food-related learning across nursery rooms, engaging children in age-appropriate cooking activities, and sharing healthy eating ideas with families.
We are looking for someone with:
- At least two years’ catering experience
- Good organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work safely and independently
- Knowledge of food preparation for a range of dietary, cultural and allergy needs
A Food Hygiene Certificate, First Aid Certificate and commitment to ongoing professional development are required.
