LS MKTN is a marketing consultancy and content-led business focused on creating thoughtful, high-quality content that supports commercial growth. We work with founder-led businesses to turn their expertise into clear, effective and engaging content across multiple channels, from blogs and thought leadership to email marketing and organic social media.

After a period of sustained growth, we’re now looking for a Content Assistant to join the team. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career, who wants to develop strong communication, editorial, and marketing skills, while supporting the delivery of engaging organic social and broader content strategies for our clients.

The role

As a Content Assistant, your day-to-day role will include content planning, research, writing, organisation, and delivery. You’ll work closely with the founder to gain hands-on experience with how content strategies are both developed and delivered. This role is not about producing large volumes of content. Instead, you will focus on how to create clear, thoughtful, and engaging work that best reflects the businesses we support.

Salary

£25,000 p/a

Eligibility

Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available for this role.

Working arrangement

Hybrid role based in Pudsey, Leeds. Applicants must be able to commute to LS28 regularly. 37.5 hours per week with flexible hybrid working. A work MacBook will be provided for day-to-day use.

You’ll also gain an understanding of how content fits into a wider marketing strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Content support
    • Assist with drafting and formatting content for LinkedIn, blogs, and email marketing
    • Help repurpose long-form content into social posts and other smaller assets
    • Support the preparation of content for publishing
    • Supporting client communication and feedback processes
  • Content planning
    • Assist with managing content calendars
    • Help organise research, ideas, and supporting materials
    • Support the scheduling and delivery of client content
    • Research to support content development
    • Proofread and edit content to improve clarity and structure
    • Help maintain consistent tone and quality across client work
  • AI governance & responsible use
    • Use AI tools responsibly to support research, drafting, and workflow efficiency
    • Ensure AI-assisted work is reviewed, refined, and brought up to editorial standard before delivery
    • Follow clear internal standards around the ethical and effective use of AI within client work

You don’t need any previous marketing experience, but a genuine interest in content and communication is important.
