LS Events is one of the UK’s leading event management companies, on a mission to deliver event excellence for its clients. Whether it’s welcoming global superstars to the stage at American Express presents BST Hyde Park, designing globally acclaimed fan experiences for Formula E or managing the complexities of pan-London events such as the funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this team of event experts has a wide range of technical, creative and operational skill sets that allow it to deliver complex public events with first‑class customer journeys and experiences.
Our core purpose is to deliver event excellence.
About the role
As we scale, we are looking for a brilliant Systems Developer/Architect to lead the modernisation of our internal operations ecosystem. We are transitioning our core operational infrastructure away from Airtable and fully into the Google Workspace ecosystem. We need an expert to architect, build, and optimise this new framework. You will leverage Google AppSheet, Google Sheets (etc), Studio and Looker to build intuitive, interconnected tools, using Google Gemini to embed next‑generation automation, predictive insights, and AI workflows directly into our daily operations.
About you
- User‑Centric Builder: You build tools for people, not just servers. You possess empathy for the end‑user and focus on intuitive UI/UX design.
- Problem Solver & Architect: Ability to look at a complex legacy process, reverse‑engineer it, and rebuild it into a streamlined, future‑proof framework.
- Agile & Adaptable: Thrives in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly; comfortable with iterative building and rapid prototyping.
- Strong Communicator: Able to bridge the gap between technical architecture and business needs, translating SLT requirements into functional digital tools.
What we're looking for
- Google Workspace Mastery: Deep, expert‑level knowledge of Google Workspace apps; specifically Gemini, Sheets (advanced scripting/Apps Script), Studio (automation), Looker, and AppSheet architecture.
- Airtable Offboarding Experience: Proven track record of cleanly migrating relational databases out without data loss or downtime.
- Generative AI Expertise: Hands‑on experience integrating Google Gemini (or Vertex AI API) into enterprise Google Workspace workflows for automation and intelligence.
- Agile Operational Mindset: Experience working with fast‑moving agency or production environments is a massive plus.
- Agency/Production Background: Experience working within fast‑moving agencies, live events, or creative production environments.
- Formal Tech/Data Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent practical/portfolio experience.
- Google Certifications: Professional Google Workspace Administrator or Professional Data Engineer certifications.
Contract terms
- Contract type: Freelance or fixed term
- Contract Hours: 37.5 hours/week
- Contract Length: 3-6 months initially
- Comprehensive benefits available for fixed term contracts.
