Working as part of a Group Reporting team, this position supports the production of the group consolidation and reporting of the group financial position for monthly management accounts and the group annual report and financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the production of the group monthly and annual consolidation processes, including processing group eliminations and calculating group‑level adjustments.
- Develop an in‑depth knowledge of the group consolidation system (currently SAP BPC).
- Develop productive working relationships with other group functions within the Centre of Excellence such as Group Tax, Group Treasury and Group FPA, and with the Global Statutory & Compliance teams and team leaders within the group shared service centre and finance support teams.
- Responsibility for the group disclosures and accounting policies for Property, Plant and Equipment, and intangible assets.
- Responsibility for accounting adjustments for lease accounting under IFRS 16 and maintaining data within the LeaseLight system.
- Support the production of the group financial statements under IFRS and UK subsidiary entities under FRS 102, liaising with the group auditors.
- Ad‑hoc projects as requested by the Group Reporting Manager.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) with demonstrable up‑to‑date knowledge of UK Adopted IFRS and FRS 102.
- Experience with ERP and analytics systems.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Culturally sensitive in implementing initiatives and solutions across teams in different areas and business streams.
Desirable
- Experience of monthly financial close process.
- Experience with SAP ByD, SAP BPC, and/or Deloitte LeaseLight.
