This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys improving quality practices, raising risks early, and helping teams ship with confidence.
Responsibilities:- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases to validate functionality, usability, accessibility, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to agree acceptance criteria, test scope, and release readiness.
- Participate in sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives—raising risks early and driving continuous improvement.
- Log, track, and triage defects in Azure DevOps, providing clear reproduction steps and supporting root-cause analysis.
- Create and maintain test plans, test evidence, and lightweight QA documentation that supports repeatable releases.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts (e.g., Cypress), and help integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide clear quality status updates, recommend improvements to processes and tools, and champion best practice across the team.
- 4+ years' experience in software testing, with strong manual testing capability across web applications.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (Boards/Test Plans/Pipelines) and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, including story refinement and sprint ceremonies.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, QA methodologies, and how testing fits into delivery.
- Confident using defect tracking and test management tools (Azure DevOps or similar) with a focus on high-quality reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Clear communication skills – able to explain issues, risks, and test outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- ISTQB Foundation Level (or equivalent experience and training).
- Hands-on experience with test automation (e.g., Cypress) and writing maintainable tests using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman) and/or basic SQL for data validation.
