Little Red Panda (LRP) is a highly regarded fashion e-Commerce Photography Production Studio based in Hackney which is in the beating heart of fashion and trends in East London. We work with really exciting fashion brands from huge high street names to niche brands making their mark.

We strive to make our studio a friendly and positive environment and aim to nurture our photographers, retouchers and assistants to become the best they can be in this challenging and rewarding sector.

We are looking for a Studio Assistant to join our production team. We are offering the position at a junior level with a yearly salary of £25,400.

This job is perfect for a photography graduate who is passionate about starting their career in London. Please note this is not a photography assistant role and there will be minimal assisting. The role is very much in line with studio production assisting so please read the job description carefully.

This is a contractual position with fixed 6 month or 1 year term. Working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm with an hour lunch break. Some shoot days require early starts and late finishes.

The main duties and skills will require:

  • The daily organisation of LRP Studio spaces to facilitate our photography and video productions, set building, painting of the cove etc.
  • Equipment maintenance and liaison with repair, purchase and hire centres
  • Having full knowledge and responsibility for the location of all photography, digital and lighting equipment in the studio
  • Receiving clients on arrival and showing them to their shoot space when required
  • Arranging shoot lunches and ensuring all studios are well stocked with drinks and snacks
  • Assisting the LRP production team with the arrival, storage, allocation and return of products to clients via courier systems
  • Daily studio cleanliness and tidiness

Skills / Experience required

  • Proven experience working in a photographic studio environment
  • Ability and energy to work in a fast-paced studio environment
  • Education qualification to degree level of photography or equivalent
  • Highly organised personality capable of retaining control of constantly changing studio demands
  • Ability to work as an individual with true initiative but able to take and act on clear instructions quickly and efficiently
  • Sharp eye for organisation and cleanliness
  • A real appreciation of studio fashion still life and model photography with a desire to assist LRP studios
  • Proven experience using Excel and Google Sheets
  • Basic understanding of logistics in general
  • Proven knowledge and ability working with Apple Mac OS
  • Willingness and ability to keep LRP studios in good running order whilst multitasking with the LRP Production team and Studio Manager
  • Polite, energetic and highly professional working and phone manner
  • Great timekeeping and self-motivation
  • Ability to easily get to and from Hackney on a weekday basis
