Our client, a dynamic and growing wholesale/retail business in SW London is seeking an ambitious assistant account manager to join their impressive team. With a particular focus on interiors products, the team are more than happy to train someone on the product/client base but are ideally seeking a candidate with minimum 2+ yearsβ experience in a relevant and comparable role. Tracker management and critical path management experience are particularly useful, and a very confident communicator who thrives in a client facing role is a must.
The role is focused on managing one large account, a household name that the business has worked with very successfully for many years, and as such, exceptional relationship management skills, and a strong desire to add value are essential. This individual will manage the end-to-end product development process of this significant, growing account. As a result, we need a candidate who is meticulously organised and has a keen eye for product development. About the job: Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, responsibilities of this individual include the following:
- Managing end-to-end tracker management of multiple products and critical paths ensuring all products are developed, costed, and sampled on time
- Managing multiple critical paths ensuring deadlines are not missed
- Clearly communicating and managing new briefs and development feedback with both overseas teams and customer
- Supporting in customer meetings preparing relevant information for the Senior Account Manager
- Building external relationships as well as internal relationships with the account management, operations, and finance team
- Supporting the Senior Account Manager with collecting and analysing data to understand consumer behaviour, trends and market insight
- Market knowledge and understanding β regular comp shops of customer stores as well as competitors β drawing any observations and identifying new opportunities to help business growth
- Research into testing, compliance and any other regulations surrounding importation of different product types
- Sending and managing packaging and product artwork briefs with the design team
Specific knowledge, qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Preferred to have previous experience working as Assistant Buyer (on the customer side)
- Preferred to have experience managing critical paths
- Strong relationship skills
- Meticulous attention to detail but can also multitask and re-prioritise when required
- Works well in fast-paced environments with ever changing priorities
- Good excel skills
- Constant willingness and want to improve
- Must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude
- This role needs a logical thinker who enjoys the challenge of problem-solving
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a high level of organisation
- Ability to build a rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
