About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Residential Real Estate Paralegal to join our well-regarded Property team in central London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced paralegal with a strong grounding in UK residential property law to support a busy and dynamic department.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to post-completion under supervision.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
- Conducting Land Registry searches and submissions, as well as local authority searches.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
- Assisting with due diligence, file management, and ensuring compliance with AML and SRA regulations.
- Supporting solicitors with administrative and legal tasks as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months’ experience as a paralegal in residential real estate/conveyancing in England & Wales.
- Solid understanding of the conveyancing process and Land Registry procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred.
Desirable
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- LPC or SQE 1 is an advantage but not essential.
- Previous experience with case management systems such as LEAP or Proclaim.
