About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Finance Paralegal to join our busy and highly regarded Real Estate Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented legal professional to work on complex property finance transactions, supporting solicitors and clients in delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with all aspects of real estate finance transactions, including acquisition and development financing, refinancing and secured lending
- Drafting and reviewing ancillary finance documents such as certificates of title, undertakings, corporate authorisations, security documents, and facility agreements
- Managing and reviewing conditions precedent and conditions subsequent checklists
- Undertaking due diligence on real estate assets, including reviewing titles, leases, searches, and property reports
- Preparing Land Registry and Companies House documentation and overseeing filings and registrations
- Liaising with borrowers, lenders, external counsel, and other parties involved in the transaction
- Supporting the coordination and smooth running of completions, including managing execution processes
- Maintaining accurate records and assisting with file management, billing, and compliance procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a paralegal within a real estate finance or secured lending team in a UK law firm or in-house legal department
- Strong understanding of UK property law and banking practices in the context of real estate finance
- Experience working on large-scale or high-value property transactions
- Familiarity with Land Registry and Companies House procedures and forms
- Excellent drafting, research, and organisational skills
- Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills
- Law degree or equivalent qualification required
- LPC/SQE or equivalent is desirable but not essential
