An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced PA/Secretary to join a highly respected Private Client department, providing direct support to a long‑established and leading Partner within the team. This is a predominantly office-based role with the option of hybrid working: four days in the office and one day working from home each week. The department comprises both legal and trust & tax professionals who work collaboratively to deliver a seamless service to a sophisticated client base. You will join a supportive team of secretaries and work closely with solicitors, accountants and other fee‑earners.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing dedicated PA/secretarial support to a senior Partner in the Private Client team
- Liaising confidently with clients in person and by phone
- Audio and copy typing, including digital dictation
- Preparing, binding and sewing deeds and Wills
- File opening, compliance administration and document management
- Diary management and general administrative support
- Maintaining an effective filing system and supporting fee‑earners under pressure and to tight deadlines
About You
We are seeking a well‑presented, highly organised individual with extensive experience in a Private Client legal environment. You will have an excellent telephone manner, strong attention to detail, and the discretion required to handle confidential information. You should be proactive, adaptable and able to use your initiative within a small, high‑performing team. Strong IT skills in Word and Excel are essential, and fast, accurate typing is required. Experience with SOS Connect, BigHand, Winscribe, Nuance/Kofax or iManage will be an advantage. This role suits a self‑motivated PA/Secretary who delivers exceptional client service, thrives under pressure and is committed to maintaining high professional standards and is truly looking for a 1:1 support role.
