This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded Personal Injury team that specialises in representing claimants with serious injuries and asbestos-related diseases. As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will provide vital support to senior fee earners, assist with complex cases, and maintain regular client engagement. You will gain valuable experience in personal injury and industrial disease litigation, while also contributing to casework, research, and marketing activities. This position is ideal for someone keen to develop their legal career within a supportive, dynamic, and well-established firm.
Key Responsibilities:- Handling initial enquiries from prospective clients.
- Assisting senior fee earners with complex personal injury and mesothelioma/asbestos disease cases.
- Managing correspondence and drafting legal documents, including court forms and Part 8 proceedings.
- Preparing court bundles and conducting legal research, including defendant company research.
- Drafting care statements and documentation relating to restoring companies to the Company Register.
- Assisting with marketing activities, including managing social media content, writing articles, and attending charity meetings and events.
- Performing general administrative duties across case files.
- Ensuring file and case management systems (iManage, Elite, MatterSphere, PDF Docs, Microsoft Teams, Outlook 365) are updated accurately and efficiently.
- Previous experience in claimant personal injury or asbestos-related work is desirable.
- Good knowledge of personal injury and industrial disease law is advantageous.
- Strong client communication skills, including confidence on the telephone.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent written, verbal, and IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
