A well-established and highly regarded London law firm, recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers UK, is seeking a Licensing Solicitor (NQ–1 PQE) to join its growing team. The firm has a long-standing presence in London and is known for its supportive culture, strong commitment to training, and focus on employee wellbeing. Junior lawyers are given genuine responsibility alongside structured supervision and mentoring.

This is a newly created opportunity for a Licensing Solicitor to join the firm during a period of growth. The role reports directly to the Head of Department and is predominantly office-based. You will manage a high-quality licensing caseload while also contributing to marketing and business development initiatives within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing your own caseload of licensing matters confidentially and efficiently
  • Preparing licensing applications and providing clear, practical licensing advice
  • Liaising with Licensing Authorities and other Responsible Authorities
  • Representing clients at licensing sub-committee hearings and appeals
  • Assisting with marketing and business development initiatives
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities for the firm
Candidate Requirements
  • Newly qualified solicitor to 1 year PQE
  • Exposure to licensing law during training preferred (full training provided)
  • Well-organised, ambitious, and proactive
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
  • Interest in developing a long-term career in licensing law
