Legal Cashier
up to £40,000
Essex (RM11) | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm | Office-Based
Our client is a well-established law firm in Essex, currently recruiting for a Legal Cashier to join their busy and supportive Accounts team.
This is a varied role suited to someone with previous legal cashiering experience who is confident working with client ledgers, transactions and reconciliations. You will play an important role in supporting the wider firm while ensuring financial processes are completed accurately and in line with regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities will include processing transactions on client and nominal ledgers, arranging payments via online banking including international transfers, posting HMLR, HMCTS and search fees to client ledgers and completing daily bank reconciliations. You will also assist with ledger queries and provide support to internal teams and management.
We are looking for someone with at least one year’s experience in a similar legal account’s environment, with a good understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong numerical skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and confident working both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication, problem-solving and IT skills. The working hours are Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, and the role is fully office-based in Essex.
