Director of Finance | International Law Firm | London (EC2N) | £very competitive with hybrid working
We are working with a prestigious international law firm to recruit an experienced Director of Finance to lead its European finance function.
This is a senior and highly visible leadership role, offering responsibility for the financial operations of the firm's European offices. Working closely with senior European leadership, the Global CFO and Business Services Directors, you will play a key role in both the operational and strategic management of the business.
The Role
You will lead and oversee the European finance function, including:
- Managing day-to-day finance operations and leading the regional finance team
- Overseeing general ledger and balance sheet management, reconciliations and financial controls
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Producing monthly management and financial reporting for senior leadership
- Managing treasury, cash flow and working capital
- Overseeing revenue control, billing and collections
- Supporting pricing and matter planning decisions
- Acting as COFA, with responsibility for client money procedures, controls and the annual SAR audit
- Overseeing VAT compliance and supporting partnership and local tax reporting
- Working with external advisers and senior stakeholders
- Driving process improvements, automation and best practice across the finance function
- Leading the implementation and rollout of financial systems and applications
- Supporting senior management with strategic planning, projects and business initiatives
About You
You will be an accomplished senior finance professional with significant leadership experience gained within a law firm.
You will bring strong experience across financial management, planning, reporting, budgeting, treasury and operational finance, together with the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders and partners.
Experience of Elite 3E is essential.
