We are working on behalf of a well-established law firm to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager. This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal role, replacing a long-standing member of staff who is retiring. A thorough handover will be provided to ensure a smooth transition.
The role is fully office based and will suit someone confident operating with minimal supervision in a legal accounts environment.
The role:- Managing the firm’s Client and Office Accounts in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Office Manual
- Maintaining all ledgers, conducting bank reconciliations, and overseeing invoicing
- Producing month-end and management accounts, including cashflow analysis
- Managing credit control and VAT returns
- Coordinating the firm’s outsourced payroll function
- Liaising with auditors for annual accounts and accountant’s reports
- Supervising Accounts Assistants and supporting the wider management team
- Ensuring excellent client care and professional standards at all times
- Proven accounts experience within a law firm
- Strong knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules, VAT and AML regulations
- Experience working within a Lexcel-accredited firm (essential)
- Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills, including case management systems
- A proactive, reliable and high-integrity approach
